Utah is home to a wealth of stunning canyons, geological sites, desert oases and vast wilderness areas. Our Utah hiking tours feature Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Capitol Reef National park, the Grand Staircase-Escalante, Paria Slot Canyons, Arches National Park and/or Canyonlands National Park. Zion National Park boasts perhaps the most famous of the slot canyons in Utah – the Zion Narrows. Though this slot canyon ranks as the easiest to traverse within Zion National Park, it is 16 miles long and requires 13 hours to traverse. It includes slippery rocks, river hiking, and some swimming.

Zion National Park UTV & Hiking Tour

Slot Canyons In Southern Utah

The back country of Zion National Park is home to Slot Canyons unlike any other in the world. This non-technical hiking tour takes you on an off-road UTV adventure to the mouth of Crimson Canyon to hike through and explore with your guide. Within the narrow canyon walls you will find ancient Native American writings and learn about those who inhabited these lands before us. Unlike most Slot Canyons, this canyon does not require repelling or technical climbing and all ages are able to participate.

Slot

After a heavy rainstorm sections of the canyons may contain pools of water. Under these circumstances we supply what is needed to gear up and advance through the canyon despite these potential obstacles!

  • We are a family owned and operated business located in the town of Escalante, Utah. Along with slot canyon tours, we offer a variety of day and evening hikes, backpack trips, photo tours and catered base camp trips. Open year round.
  • Grand Circle Tours offers a 3 hour tour to Peek A Boo slot canyon located about 10 miles outside of Kanab Utah. This short slot rivals any of the more famous canyons located in Utah or Arizona for photography potential. Less crowds equals a more relaxed walking/shooting experience for our guests. Golden light is best around 10am-2pm but we can.

This tour can depart from one of three locations: Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, Zion Mountain Ranch, or Zion Fuel-Up (Orderville, Utah).

Utah Slot Canyon Guided Tours Packages

You do not want to miss the tour, so please arrive early!

The most famous slot canyons near Page are definitely Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon, but these aren't the only slot canyons in the area. Buckskin Gulch, Waterholes Canyon, Zebra Canyon, Peek-a-Boo Canyon and the Zion Narrows (part of the Grand Circle) are quite popular among the self-guiding, canyoneering community. If you aren't an experienced enough to take on a slot canyon on your own safely, that doesn't mean Antelope Canyon is your only choice.

Slot Canyons In Utah

A few lesser known slot canyons have opened up to the public over the years, that is, with the permitted access of a tour guide company. Most of these slot canyons are on Navajo land and are a very important part of their culture and heritage. It's a priviledge that these canyons are being shared with us. Some of these other slot canyons are Cardiac Canyon, Secret Canyon, Rams Head, Ligai Si Anii and Wind Pebble Canyons. Most of these tours, if not all, are operated by Navajo tour companies and require paying an $8 Navajo Permit Fee in addition to the tour package price. Going on one of these slot canyon tours is a fantastic way to avoid the crowds and have a more relaxed experience in these truly magnificant canyons.
